Membership Support / Advice

Currently the LWA does not have capacity or resources to help individual members or potential members on their specific projects, farms or programmes. We get a lot of requests for individual support and would love to have the time to respond to each request in full. We are fundraising for a new role for somebody to focus on membership support and services as we have identified it is a gap in our offering so please watch this space. Having said that, if your query is critical and urgent please email info@staging.landworkersalliance.org.uk including the word URGENT in the subject header and it will get picked up and we can try our best to help.

Farming, Food & Climate Justice March

Sat 5th Oct – 14:00 – 23:00
Meet at 2pm at the north east corner of St. James Park, off The Mall.

Join the UK mobilisation for Farming, Food & Climate Justice! LWA is planning a Farming, Food and Climate Justice march October 5th in London. It will bring together the many organisations working towards sustainability and social justice in the areas of food, farming and climate change. It will be a colourful and diverse demonstration with a tractor rally, banner drops, a hot dinner cooked from food waste, and other creative elements. The purpose of this march is to make the political point that the crises of farming, food and climate are integrally linked both at the level of problems and solutions, and that they require joined up policy solutions.

Meet at 2pm at the north east corner of St. James Park, off The Mall. From there we will march to Parliament Square where we will rally, before heading onto The Bargehouse on Southbank. At the Barge house from 6pm there will be an after party with a bar, and a great knees-up folk band called The Striking Clock.

We have lined up several coaches from Bristol, the South West and South Wales. Please follow the links to buy your bus tickets.

Get involved! For more info go here: https://www.goodfoodmarch.org/

The demonstration will be preceded by a day of movement building workshops on Fri 4th Oct at The Barge House, SE1 9PH on food, farming and climate issues. Workshops will be delivered by a range of organisations working in these areas and will help to develop our movements’ arguments and narratives. Sessions include; the role of pasture farming in carbon sequestration, seed sovereignty, food citizenship, deforestation and more.
