Academic/Research Enquiries

Please look at the Agroecology Research Collaboration to see if it fits your area of research/work.

Membership Support / Advice

Currently the LWA does not have capacity or resources to help individual members or potential members on their specific projects, farms or programmes. We get a lot of requests for individual support and would love to have the time to respond to each request in full. We are fundraising for a new role for somebody to focus on membership support and services as we have identified it is a gap in our offering so please watch this space. Having said that, if your query is critical and urgent please email info@staging.landworkersalliance.org.uk including the word URGENT in the subject header and it will get picked up and we can try our best to help.

Contacting Individual Staff

International Solidarity

Campaigns & Advocacy

As a member organisation of the international peasant movement La Via Campesina, we are part of a global movement for food sovereignty and agroecology.

We live in a deeply interconnected world, and a perfect example of this is the inherent interdependence of our global food system. In the UK, we import almost half of the food we eat: a statistic which reflects the UK’s significant and historical reliance upon the soil, water and labour of other countries in order to meet our own nutritional and consumer needs. Food justice is therefore a transnational issue, and one which must be addressed through a decolonial lens.

It is important to position ourselves as equal participants in a global food system; whether as producers or consumers, and to recognise that it is therefore impossible to disentangle our own lives and activities from the struggles and plight of landworkers and food producers across the globe.

We therefore stand in solidarity with peasant struggles globally, and use our platform, members and political voice in the UK to mobilise for change elsewhere.
